Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) - School

Job Description

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Canton, GA for the 26/27 school year ! This is a full-time private duty/1:1 role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services. Bus ride with assigned student is required for the position and is included in working hour.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Active LPN License in Georgia
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification
• Demonstrated competency in the specific skills required for the assigned student including:
  • Pediatric skillset
  • Tube feedings
  • Oxygen and airway management
  • Medication administration
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently
• Ability to safely implement physician orders and care plans within LPN scope of practice
• School-based experience highly preferred

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Maintain continuous observation of assigned student throughout the school day, including bus ride to and from school.
• Support chronic condition management and assist with medical procedures as outlined in care plans
• Provide first aid and medication administration
• Document care and communicate with school teams
• Accompany student during transportation and community-based activities when assigned
• Report significant status changes to supervising RN and family
