About the Position

Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant Profession: PTA Specialty: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 08:00 - 17:00 Experience: 1+ years License: Certification/licensure required to work as a PTA in Kentucky Certifications: BLS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Experience delivering high-quality evidence-based care. Ability to prioritize patient goals and outcomes. Skill in identifying when assistance or assessment from a Physical Therapist is required. Description: The outpatient clinic includes a team of physical therapists and assistants. The clinic provides 1-on-1 care to all patients, unless specific circumstances arise. Staff may be required to assist with inpatient coverage during cancellations or no-shows. The patient population primarily consists of adults with orthopedic and geriatric conditions. Common diagnoses include lower back pain, joint replacements, fall prevention, generalized weakness, chronic pain, and workers' compensation. Candidates should be personable and able to connect well with their patients. The dress code requires black scrubs, and unacceptable attire includes jeans, sweatpants, and leggings. Experience with insurance authorizations is preferred.
