We design and integrate FCAS systems for cutting edge aircraft like the F-35 Lightning II and the V280 Valor next generation tiltrotor Aircraft. You will report to our Performance Leader and will have an onsite work schedule in **Torrance, CA.**You will perform precision mechanical assembly and fabrication operations in support of aerospace component manufacturing. You are responsible for installing bushings and threaded inserts, matched-hole drilling, chemical etching preparation, mechanical assembly, and operating a variety of conventional manufacturing equipment. You work from engineering drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing specifications to produce high-quality aerospace hardware while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.**To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:*** High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division* Minimum 3 years or more of Assembly experience* Ability to read blueprints* Experience in the Aerospace industry* Basic computer program skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook)**As a Manufacturing Sub Assembly Technician, you will:*** Install and size aerospace bushings, bearings, sleeves, and related hardware to engineering requirements.* Install and inspect helicoils and other threaded inserts per aerospace specifications.* Perform matched-hole drilling and reaming operations to ensure proper alignment and fit of mating components.* Execute precision assembly of subassemblies using fasteners, rivets, bushings, pins, and associated hardware.* Prepare components for chemical etching and perform chem-etch operations in accordance with approved manufacturing procedures.* Operate arbor presses and hydraulic presses for installation, removal, and fitting of aerospace components.* Set up and operate conventional milling machines, drill presses, and related machine shop equipment.* Perform drilling, countersinking, counterboring, reaming, deburring, and other fabrication processes.* Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, process sheets, and work instructions.* Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, depth gauges, and pin gauges.* Conduct in-process inspections to ensure compliance with quality and engineering requirements.* Maintain accurate production records and complete required manufacturing documentation.* Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.* Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Production personnel to resolve technical and production issues.**How We Care for You:*** Financial Rewards: great compensation package, bonus opportunities**,** matching 401k, and the ability to participate in Employee Stock Purchase Plan (select locations), Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts* Work/Life Balance: Flexible paid time off, holidays and parental leave program, relocation assistance* Health & Welfare: Comprehensive insurance coverage including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, Employee Assistance Plan (“EAP”) and other supplemental benefit coverages* Professional Skills Development: Tuition Assistance, mentorship and coaching opportunities, leadership development, and other personal growth programs* Culture: Warm, respectful, family-like environment driven by our 12 core values.
