Postpartum Nurse (Postpartum RN)

Postpartum Rn

Postpartum RN's work in the unit of a hospital is the area where babies and new moms recover after birth. Although the length of stay can vary depending on the type of delivery and complications, most women with uncomplicated deliveries go home within a few days.

Education/Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): 4-Year Education
Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN): 2-Year Education
You must earn an ADN or BSN degree and pass the NCLEX to apply for a license as a RN.
RN's can only work with an active state license.

Submission Requirements:

2+ years post partum experience - Required
Experience in providing comprehensive care to new mothers and their newborns after delivery - Required
Experience in providing education on breast feeding, infant care, and maternal care - Required
BLS (AHA or ARC) - Required
Profile Requirements: Resume - Required
Skills checklist - Required
Licensure - Required
Certifications - Required
Clinicians MUST list prior work history with North Memorial Health, Maple Grove Hospital and/or Blaze Health LLC on their resume
BLS State License Requirements Minnesota
