Medical-Surgical Float Pool Nurse
This is a 13-week contract position.
NOC Shift (19:00 07:30) with 3 12-hour shifts per week, totaling 36 hours.
The Medical-Surgical Float Pool Nurse provides comprehensive patient care across multiple medical-surgical units, adapting quickly to varying patient populations and unit workflows. Nurses are expected to function independently, demonstrate strong clinical judgment, and uphold all hospital policies and safety standards.
Deliver high-quality patient care across various inpatient Medical-Surgical units.
Demonstrate adaptability and strong clinical judgment while floating between units.
Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, attendance, documentation standards, and medication safety protocols.
Manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 on standard Med Surg units, adjusting based on unit acuity and staffing needs.
Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and NIHHS certifications are required; ACLS and TNCC certifications are preferred.
Strong proficiency in EPIC systems.
