FLOOR TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

Crothall Healthcare – FLOOR TECHNICIAN Location: MUSC Art, 25 Courtenay Drive, Charleston, SC 29401 Schedule: Full‑time, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. (days may vary; details upon interview). Pay: $15.00–$19.00 per hour. No experience required; training provided. Job Summary Floor Technician performs floor maintenance, restoration, and operates industrial floor care equipment for hard‑surface exposure areas. The role includes cleaning, polishing, strip‑and‑refinishing, and carpet care tasks to keep floors at the highest safety and aesthetic standards. Essential Functions Maintain knowledge of principles of hard‑surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing. Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment. Utilize automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas. Use proper procedures on carpet and upholstery, including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc. Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types. Conduct other duties as assigned by manager. Qualifications Previous experience as a floor care technician or similar preferred. Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques. Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures. Capability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently.
