Contract Details

Position Type: Contract
Contract Duration: 5 months (winter coverage)
Pay Rate: $77.00 / Hour (USD)
Shift / Schedule: Day/Night rotating shift - 7:00 AM-7:30 PM / 7:00 PM-7:30 AM (3×12 Hours). Shifts may be variable if needed to meet the operational needs of the hospital. Facility will do their best to honor the traveler's preferred shift but reserves the right to rotate if necessary.
Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This is a Med/Surg Tele RN travel assignment at a main campus hospital, providing winter coverage. The traveler may be required to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population.

Key Responsibilities

Provide Med/Surg Telemetry nursing care at the main campus hospital.
Float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED as needed to care for the same patient population.
Work at least every other holiday.
Complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation; an acceptable score on both assessments is required.

Education Requirements

Ohio RN License (permanent) or Compact State license - must be in hand at time of submission (required)
AHA or facility-accepted BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
NIHSS certification required

Required Experience

Minimum 18 months combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for (preferable within one location but can be combined)
Minimum 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience - travel experience will suffice

Required Skills

ECG rhythm recognition
Ability to float to Med/Surg Tele, ED, and related units as operationally required

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

Day/Night rotating 3×12-hour shifts; shifts may be variable to meet operational needs
Traveler must work at least every other holiday
COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
