Job Summary:
Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Largo, Maryland. This role involves immediate post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients, including complex procedures such as CABG, valve repairs, and thoracic surgeries. The RN will be responsible for managing ventilated patients, monitoring hemodynamics, and providing specialized cardiac care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts from 1930 to 0800, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: MD RN license, ACLS, BLS, 2+ years of CVICU/open heart experience, CPI certification, no minimum experience required)
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience, experience with arterial line management, chest tube insertion/removal, CVAD management, intra-aortic balloon pump, Impella device, and familiarity with Epic charting system
• Patient Ratio: 2 patients per nurse during nights
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Candidate must be comfortable floating within scope with no restrictions or special requests. The role involves immediate post-op care, vent management with respiratory therapy, and handling specialized cardiac equipment such as IABP, Impella, FloTrac/Vigileo monitors, and CRRT. COVID-19 vaccination is not required; flu vaccination is mandatory with no exemptions.
