Fountain Worker • Starbucks – Steady Extra (The Vanderpump Hotel LV) Las Vegas, NV, United States (On-site) Job Summary The primary responsibility of the Fountain worker is to accurately handle cash register transactions and ensure guests are greeted cheerfully and prepare food & beverage per guest's requests. Responsibilities Provides fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to restaurant guests and staff. Engages in friendly conversations with guests whenever possible using the 10/5 Rule. Accurately inputs all orders into the POS terminal. Accurately posts all transactions on the POS terminal giving correct change; accounts for all cash, charge, and complimentary sales according to established procedure and maintains integrity of all financial controls. Prepares drinks to order in accordance with established recipes and time guidelines. Delivers products to customers in a timely manner. Thanks guests for their patronage. Maintains appropriate level of stock items in area. Assists in maintaining display cases and pastry par levels. Keeps designated working areas clean and organized and assists in maintaining cleanliness of surrounding areas, including condiment areas, in accordance with established health and safety standards. Assists all co-workers as needed and helps Management in delivering food products to customers. Assists in training new Fountain Counter Persons and new Management staff during training. Responsible for periodic cleaning tasks assigned by Management. Attends mandatory meetings and training classes as assigned. Resolves guest complaints expeditiously and informs Management of the complaints. Prepares or serves menu items such as sandwiches or salads. Provides basic food preparation and service. Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older. Must have 6 months of previous cash handling experience. Effective communication in English, both verbal and written, in a professional manner. Neat and professional appearance. Attention to detail and accuracy. Interacts with customers, public, and co-workers. Uses a computer and/or cash register. Union Referral. Fast paced environment, multiple tasks to be handled under time constraint. Must be able to handle a heavy business volume and sensitive situations relating to staff and guest problems in a timely manner.
