Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited Radiology program. Demonstrate competency in advanced imaging techniques including fluoroscopy/C-Arm in the OR, trauma, and portable radiography within 6 months.

Description: The Acute Care Radiology Technologist provides healthcare services, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs X-Ray procedures and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. Responsible for performing radiographic exams as requested by healthcare providers. Conducts fluoroscopic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures alongside radiology providers. Engages in education for patients regarding preparation and post-care of radiology procedures. Assists radiology nursing with fluoroscopically guided procedures. Completes necessary documentation for the proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams. Performs ancillary duties required to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams. Participates in the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of quality indicators. Educates radiography students, new hires, and radiology techs on relevant diagnostic and operative guidance exams. Demonstrates sound judgment and maintains a professional demeanor at all times. Exercises tact, discretion, sensitivity, and maintains confidentiality. Successfully performs essential job functions in a busy and stressful environment. Learns current and new computer applications and office equipment used within the facility. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required. Analyzes, organizes, and prioritizes work while meeting multiple deadlines. Successfully works varied shifts as scheduled and/or needed. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds as needed in patient care. Capable of working extended hours, including sitting, walking, or standing for eight or more hours daily. May require a flexible schedule, including weekends and after-hours shifts. On-call availability may be required for organizational and patient needs. Proficient in effective communication both in person and through various technologies. Ability to handle challenging situations and de-escalate conflicts effectively. Capacity to perform repetitive tasks necessary to fulfill job responsibilities. Exposures: Job tasks may involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, and various chemicals used in healthcare. Possible contact with infectious diseases due to patient interactions. May face emotionally challenging situations, including interactions with distressed patients or families. The facility reserves the right to cancel shifts due to low census or unforeseen circumstances. Candidates must meet all stated requirements.
