Great opportunity for students taking time off before Medical, PA or NP school. Scribe hours are counted toward clinical training for most PA and medical school programs. Required Experience and Competencies Responsible and mature demeanor with a passion for medicine. Strong writing skills. Quick and accurate typing speed. Experience with medical terminology, human anatomy and human physiology is preferred. Each scribe works 2‑3 shifts per week (including weekends and a holiday). Ability to stand, walk and follow a physician for extended periods of time. Ability to work in a stressful and fast‑paced environment. One‑year commitment at this site, continuous one‑year, not a summer position. Excellent follow‑through. Self‑motivated. The Practice A 439‑bed hospital with a Level II Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, Fully Operating Paramedic Base Station, and anticipated STEMI Center in 2021. The 38‑bed Emergency Department sees 100,000+ annual ED patient visits. Offer training programs for nursing students, medical residents, and allied health professionals attending UC Riverside, Loma Linda University, Western University of Health Services, and California Baptist University.
