ICU Registered Nurse (RN)An experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) is sought to join a dedicated team within a high-acuity care environment. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients while adhering to the highest standards of patient care.Position DetailsUnit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)Shift Length: 12 hoursGuaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekYears of Experience Required: 2 yearsWeekend Requirements: Every other weekendHoliday Requirements: Minimum of 2 holidays within contract periodOrientation: 1 shift of unit/department specific orientationResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill patients.Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and health status.Administer medications and titrate drips as necessary.Provide education and support to patients and families regarding care plans and health conditions.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care strategies.Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.Troubleshoot and manage respiratory therapy equipment as needed.QualificationsRequired Certifications:Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)Basic Life Support (BLS) CertificationNational Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)Strong clinical skills and competency in critical care nursing practices.Ability to interpret cardiac strips and monitor telemetry.Experience with common ICU patient diagnoses, including trauma, cardiac conditions, sepsis, stroke, and respiratory distress.Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Additional InformationPatient to nurse ratios typically range from 1:2 to 1:3.Floating to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and occasionally MedSurg may be required, maintaining similar patient ratios.Artificial nails are prohibited while providing patient care.RTO of 7 days or less is required upfront; additional RTO will not be approved.Client Details State NE
