Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program or completion of a PTA educational program.
• Active Texas or compact Physical Therapist Assistant license required prior to the start of the assignment.
• Minimum 2 years of PTA clinical experience required. (Client requirement.)
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in skilled nursing facility or long-term care settings preferred.
• Experience providing gait, balance, and therapeutic exercise interventions preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift structure: 8 hour shifts, 40 hours guaranteed.
• Shift pattern: 5x8 schedule.

Impacting Patient Care

Under the direction and supervision of licensed physical therapists, the PTA will implement therapeutic interventions including exercise, massage, gait and balance training, and document patient progress. The PTA will report treatment outcomes to the supervising physical therapist and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient goals.
