An interim Pharmacy Manager position is available at a small, 25-bed critical access hospital in rural Northern California. This role offers an opportunity to lead pharmacy operations in a close-knit healthcare setting, ensuring quality pharmaceutical care and effective medication management.

The position is a contract assignment with an expected duration of approximately 13 weeks, starting as soon as possible. The schedule consists of four 10-hour day shifts per week, providing a balanced workweek that supports focused and efficient pharmacy management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee pharmacy staffing, dedicating about 90% of your time to managing the team and ensuring adequate coverage.
• Conduct order verification and supervise pharmacy technicians.
• Consult with physicians and nurses to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes.
• Manage pharmacokinetics and other clinical pharmacy duties, contributing to patient care.
• Perform administrative tasks related to the department's regulatory compliance and daily operations.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active California Pharmacist license is required.
• Demonstrated experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a rural healthcare environment.
