Packer / Press Operator
Edenton, NC 27932 Pay $19.74/hour
We are hiring a Packer / Press Operator to support high-speed metal stamping and packaging operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for operating press equipment, packaging finished products, monitoring quality, and maintaining production efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Operate high-speed stamping presses and auxiliary equipment
- Package metal connector plates and steel components manually and with automated systems
- Monitor product quality and minimize waste
- Report machine issues or malfunctions to maintenance or supervisors
- Assist mechanics with equipment troubleshooting and repairs as needed
- Label and prepare finished products for shipment
- Meet daily production and safety goals
- Complete accurate production reporting
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Basic math skills including fractions and decimals
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Previous manufacturing or forklift experience is a plus, but not required
- Basic computer skills helpful
Additional Information:
- Regular attendance and punctuality are required
- Overtime may be required based on production needs
- Physical ability to perform manufacturing and packaging duties required
