Senior Associate - External Audit (Asset & Wealth Management)

3-month busy season contract - Hybrid model - even one day a week is okay!

JOB DESCRIPTION

Join a leading Big 4 public accounting firm's Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) practice for the upcoming audit busy season. This role is ideal for experienced external auditors who have worked with investment management clients and are comfortable owning audit areas, leading client interactions, and delivering high-quality audit work in a fast-paced environment. You will support sophisticated AWM clients, including hedge funds, private equity funds, mutual funds, venture capital funds, and real estate investment vehicles. The ideal candidate comes from the big 4 and has 5 years of recent of experience auditing hedge funds, private equity funds, mutual funds, or investment managers, plus valuation testing and ASC 820 exposure.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Accounting 5+ years of external audit experience Experience auditing Asset & Wealth Management clients, including: Hedge Funds Private Equity Funds Mutual Funds Venture Capital Funds Real Estate Investment Funds Experience leading audit planning and execution phases Strong client-facing communication skills Hands-on valuation testing experience Knowledge of: U.S. GAAP ASC 820 Fair Value Measurement Investment Company Accounting Experience utilizing audit technology and analytics tools such as: Aura CaseWare Alteryx DataSnipper Power BI IDEA Ability to clearly articulate how technology, automation, or AI-enabled tools have improved audit execution and efficiency

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Big 4 audit experience (PwC, EY, Deloitte, or KPMG) CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification Experience working on large, complex investment management engagements
