Responsibilities

• Prepare complete estimates for heavy civil construction projects
• Review plans, specifications, contracts, and bid documents
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs
• Estimate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor costs
• Obtain and review subcontractor and supplier quotes
• Identify project risks, opportunities, and potential cost savings
• Develop competitive bid strategies and final pricing
• Present estimates and recommendations to management
• Work with Project Managers, Operations, and field teams during project handoff
• Attend pre-bid meetings and job site visits as needed
• Manage multiple bids and meet required deadlines
• Maintain organized estimating records and historical pricing
• Stay current with  KDOT, MoDOT, KCMO, and other applicable specifications

•\t7+ years of heavy civil estimating experience
•\tExperience with dirt work, utilities and municipal projects
•\tExperience estimating projects
•\tStrong understanding of construction plans, specifications, contracts, and public bidding
•\tStrong quantity takeoff and cost estimating skills
•\tProficiency with Agtek, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office
•\tStrong attention to detail and organizational skills
•\tAbility to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
•\tStrong communication and problem-solving skills
