Manufacturing Engineer

Join Our Team: Manufacturing Engineering Technician (3rd Shift) Are you a skilled problem-solver with a knack for machinery, process improvement, and keeping production running smoothly? We are looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Engineering Technician to join our team on the 3rd Shift (Sunday–Thursday, 4 days a week)!

Please note: To set you up for success, initial onboarding and comprehensive training will take place on the 1st shift. You will transition to the 3rd shift upon completion of formal training and capability sign-off.

What You’ll Do As a key contributor to our operations, you will partner directly with Process/Quality Engineers, Production Supervisors, and Team Leaders to provide primary support for manufacturing issues related to quality, materials, and equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Equipment & Process Maintenance: Ensure peak operation of machinery by performing preventive maintenance, reading engineering diagrams/manuals, and repairing process equipment.

• Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with Engineering and OpEx teams to lead scrap reduction, boost First Pass Yield (FPY), and optimize key operational metrics (TRIR, LTIR, Delivery, Labor Hours per Unit).

• Quality & Safety Auditing: Perform Job Breakdown Sheets (JBS) and Standard Work audits to guarantee safe, accurate production. Support our Quality Management System (QMS) and customer satisfaction goals.

• Projects & Installations: Plan and participate in new equipment installations and drive innovative process improvement ideas.

What We’re Looking For Required:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training and hands-on experience.

• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and process documentation.

• strong problem-solving abilities, creativity, and excellent interpersonal/communication skills.

• Flexibility to work off-shifts, weekends, or situational overtime for key projects and team coverage.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree in a technical field.

• Experience with Electronic Circuit Board troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

 Work with Process/Quality Engineer, Production Supervisor, and Team Leader in order to provide primary support to
manufacturing for process and product related issues, including: quality, material and machine repair issues.
 Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on
production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering
specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
 Support production line in repairing process equipment.
 Work closely with Engineering, OpEx and Production Supervision on continuous improvement.
 Collaborate with manufacturing and quality engineers to lead scrap reduction efforts and FPY improvement efforts.
 Partners with Operations Team to drive improvements in key metrics (TRIR, LTIR, Delivery, Labor Hours per Unit, etc.)
 Perform JBS (job breakdown sheets) and Standard Work audits to ensure safe and accurate completion of production
activities for assigned area.
 Identify and implement process improvement idea.
 Plan & participate in equipment installations.
 Will be available to work situational overtime for projects and team coverage, as the business requires.
  Supports the QMS by delivering quality products and services and meeting quality objectives
 Works to consistently meet and exceed customer requirements
 Continuously strives for operational excellence and continuous improvement
