Client Overview:

Our client is a prominent cultural institution dedicated to modern and contemporary art. The organization engages diverse audiences through innovative exhibitions and educational programs. They are known for fostering creativity and community involvement. They are currently seeking a Development Assistant to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$28/hr

Position Overview:

The Development Assistant will support the Individual Philanthropy and Development department. This role involves managing donor databases, processing gifts, and providing administrative assistance to enhance fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and experienced in nonprofit donor relations.

Responsibilities of the Development Assistant:

• Process gifts and maintain accurate donor records.
• Manage donor databases and track gift entries.
• Send emails using mail merge techniques.
• Provide administrative support to the Individual Philanthropy and Development team.
• Assist with data entry and gift tracking to ensure timely updates.
• Support coordination of fundraising events and communications.

Required Experience/Skills for the Development Assistant:

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience with donor databases and data management.
• Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Outlook mail merge.
• Previous experience in nonprofit donor relations or development support.
• Effective communication and multitasking abilities.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Development Assistant:

• Familiarity with fundraising software and CRM systems.
• Experience working in a museum or cultural institution environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
• Basic knowledge of philanthropy and fundraising principles.

Education Requirements:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
