Work Environment\n

This position is offered on a remote basis, allowing therapists to deliver care from the comfort of their own homes while benefiting from the flexibility this offers. Our work environment aims to promote work-life balance and is equipped with the necessary technological tools to ensure efficient patient care and communication. Therapist working hours are primarily Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential evening shifts required occasionally based on client appointments.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for clients to evaluate their mental health and substance use needs effectively, ensuring a thorough understanding of any co-occurring disorders present.

  • Collaborate closely with clients to design personalized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based interventions tailored to their specific mental health and substance use issues.

  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, focused on developing crucial coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation techniques.

  • Actively coordinate with an interdisciplinary team, which includes psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists, to provide holistic and integrated care tailored to each client’s needs.

  • Monitor substance use and implement motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients and assist them in navigating their recovery journey.

  • Provide detailed education to clients and their families regarding the relationship between mental health and substance use disorders, highlighting the importance of adherence to treatment plans.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all treatment interactions, progress notes, and referrals, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.

  • Engage in case conferences, staff meetings, and training sessions to continually enhance expertise in treatment methodologies applicable to co-occurring disorders.

The clients served by our practice represent a diverse population, often facing the combined challenges of mental health conditions and substance use disorders. By providing evidence-based therapy and integrated support, you will help these clients break the cycle of co-occurrence and achieve lasting change.

Qualifications\n

  • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • \n
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas.
  • \n
  • Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic techniques for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
  • \n
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration within an interdisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in providing mental health counseling, specifically addressing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  • \n
  • Experience working in a telehealth setting, adapting therapeutic techniques for online delivery.

  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms to ensure efficient documentation and client management.

Compensation and Benefits\n
