As a new Medical Preauthorization Coordinator at Injury Management Organization, Inc., you can expect a structured day filled with engaging tasks that enhance your skills. Your daily responsibilities will include reviewing medical records, and ensuring compliance with ICD-10 and CPT codes for workers compensation claims. You will be detail-oriented in managing preauthorization requests, working closely with healthcare providers and insurers to facilitate smooth communication. In this fast-paced environment, you will utilize your computer proficiency to navigate our systems efficiently and keep track of status updates. Collaboration with team members will be essential, as you will be encouraged to notice needs and contribute to problem-solving initiatives.

Your schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing you to maintain a work-life balance while focusing on delivering excellent service to our clients.

To excel as a Full-Time Preauthorization Intake Coordinator at Injury Management Organization, Inc., in Plano, a comprehensive skill set is essential. You should possess strong computer proficiency to navigate various software tools required for tasks such as data entry and document management. Your ability to meticulously compile and maintain medical records will be crucial, as you will review and manage over 60 faxes daily, ensuring they meet accuracy and compliance standards.

A solid understanding of medical terminology, along with familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT codes, will empower you in processing incoming preauthorization requests effectively. Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• Minimum 2 years medical preauthorization experience required
• Workers compensation experience preferred
• ICD-9/10 and CPT coding
• Expert proficiency in medical terminology
• Critical thinking skills
• High school graduate or GED
• Prefer some college
• Intermediate-advanced in Microsoft Office Suite
