Our client, a leading organization in the technology sector, is seeking a WordPress Developer to join their dynamic team. As a Web Developer, you will be an integral part of the Digital Solutions Department supporting various project teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: WordPress Developer

Location: Remote (US - CA - California)

What's the Job?

  • Maintain and enhance WordPress site features using JavaScript and PHP to ensure optimal performance and user experience.

  • Create and customize WordPress plugins and themes, including troubleshooting and implementing updates.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.

  • Improve site responsiveness, optimize performance, and resolve technical issues efficiently.

  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and adhere to secure coding standards while utilizing AI tools to streamline development workflows.

What's Needed?

  • Proven experience developing WordPress sites or applications with PHP and JavaScript.

  • Hands-on experience building custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.

  • Proficiency in HTML/CSS and a solid understanding of web accessibility and maintainability best practices.

  • Familiarity with WordPress architecture, including hooks, PHP APIs, the block editor, and REST API.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently in high-pressure environments and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
