Job Description Job Description Aegis Worldwide CNC Machinist 2nd SHIFT/$20-$25/hr/Contract-to-Hire Franklin, IN Overview: Aegis Worldwide is curently partnered with a machine and engineering shop. Responsibilities * Set up, operate, and monitor Swiss CNC lathes including Citizen L32, L220E, L20, and L12 turning centers * Read and interpret blueprints to produce precision-machined components that meet customer specifications * Perform tool changes, offsets, and programming adjustments to maintain quality and production efficiency * Inspect finished parts using metrology instruments and optical comparators to ensure accuracy and compliance * Support production needs across telecommunications, defense, medical, and aerospace manufacturing projects Requirements * Experience operating and setting up Swiss-style CNC lathes required * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining specifications * Knowledge of tooling, offsets, programming adjustments, and precision measurement techniques * Experience using metrology equipment and optical comparators for quality inspections * Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
