Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed Emergency Department managing a general ED patient ratio of 1:4, with critical care ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 depending on acuity
• Assess, triage, and manage a diverse patient population including chest pain, abdominal pain, minor trauma, and respiratory distress, with a daily volume of approximately 80–110 patients
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation and support AMI management in collaboration with the ED physician and mid-level providers
• Perform cardiac rhythm interpretation independently; operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment including ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow devices in coordination with Respiratory Therapy
• Manage ED holds within the general department and provide care in dedicated psychiatric/seclusion rooms as needed
• Float between two ED locations (East and West campuses) as pre-scheduled; participate in one on-call shift per 28-day schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (or compact eligibility) in the state of Arizona
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• TNCC certification required
• Demonstrated competency in conscious sedation and critical thinking in high-acuity environments

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Level 4 trauma facility or comparable community emergency setting
• Familiarity with intake/fast-track models for lower-acuity patient populations
• Prior experience performing or supervising triage in a high-volume ED environment
• Comfort working alongside ED techs, paramedics, and respiratory therapy in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team
