Job Title Admission Specialist II Position Overview Under general supervision, provides high‑quality customer service to students, faculty, and staff across multiple communication channels. The position offers detailed information regarding university services, admissions requirements, academic programs, registration procedures, advising services, residency guidelines, transcript evaluations, and basic financial aid navigation. Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities Process admissions applications and all official supporting documentation in a timely and accurate manner. Enter, update, and maintain accurate applicant records in Technolutions Slate and Banner student information system (SIS). Verify official transcripts, test scores, residency documentation, and other required application materials to ensure accuracy. Assist students by explaining and articulating course transferability and placement metrics involved in the admissions and registration pipeline. Respond to detailed inquiries regarding university admission requirements, application statuses, and institutional deadlines via phone, email, and in person. Conduct presentations and informational sessions on admissions criteria and academic programs for visiting groups or student cohorts. Assist with operational reporting, data integrity reviews, and tracking of missing application materials. Provide operational support for on‑campus recruitment events, orientation sessions, and specialized admissions activities. Perform general office duties and related administrative tasks to support daily functions of the Office of Admissions. Assist in managing student worker schedules and delegating daily processing tasks when needed. Required Qualifications Education: Associate degree in an applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: Two years of related experience. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated experience handling high‑volume customer service or processing in a higher education admissions or enrollment management setting. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Knowledge of higher education institutions’ functions and operations. Understanding of admissions rules and regulations. Ability to multitask, work collaboratively, communicate effectively, present information clearly, and utilize technology to track and process students through admissions processes. Other Requirements May require travel and work beyond normal office hours or on weekends. Position is security sensitive and requires export‑control authorization.
