Retail Operations Analyst

The Retail Operations Analyst is responsible for transforming retail and customer data into actionable insights that drive store performance, reporting accuracy, compliance, and operational decision-making. In this cross‑functional role, you’ll partner with Retail Operations, Finance, Merchandising, Planning, IT, and Store Leadership to develop user‑friendly reporting tools, analyze business trends, and support initiatives that improve operational efficiency and the overall customer experience. We’re looking for an analytical professional with strong retail experience, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to communicate insights clearly to both corporate partners and store teams. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in retail analytics and can build practical reporting solutions while contributing to strategic business analysis. Employment Type: Full‑Time Location: Hollywood, CA Schedule: Onsite, 5 days per week, with an 8:00–9:00 AM start time Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and enhance recurring reports focused on store performance, sales associate productivity, client trends, and product performance. Create store‑facing reporting tools that are easy to use and aligned with operational business needs. Analyze retail performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and operational risks. Support compliance and investigative reporting by monitoring business activity, validating data, and escalating notable findings when appropriate. Partner with cross‑functional teams on audits, internal reviews, and reporting improvements. Build dashboards and reporting frameworks that help leadership make informed, data‑driven decisions. Leverage transactional and client‑level data to identify unusual purchasing behavior, high‑risk activity, and patterns that may impact brand standards. Maintain reporting documentation, governance standards, and data accuracy across reporting environments. Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting support for evolving operational and strategic initiatives. Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in retail analysis, retail operations, allocation, planning, or a related analytical function. Must have hands‑on retail industry experience. Advanced Excel skills are required, including pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, and data validation. Strong analytical ability with experience turning large data sets into meaningful business insights. Experience building reports and dashboards for non‑technical users. Strong communication skills and the ability to present insights clearly and professionally. Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing confidential business information.
