Job Title: RN - Emergency Department Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Dept Duration: 7 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have: TNCC required by start date ENPC required by start date ACLS and BLS required Description: This is a backfill contract position for an RN in the Emergency Department. The schedule includes rotating weekends with no call responsibilities. Candidates must possess essential certifications such as BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS, and NIHSS. The unit has a total of 32 beds and a staff of 117 members. On day shift, expect to see a mix of RNs, CNAs, Medics, and PCTs. Patient ratios are typically 4:1. The team is looking for individuals who are great team players and can anticipate the needs of patients and the department. Compliance with dress code is important, with navy blue scrubs and navy blue zip-up sweaters required. Candidates with greater than 2 years of experience and familiarity with procedures such as LP, intubations, TNK, lac repair, suture removal, and splinting will be preferred. New equipment and technology may be available to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency.
