Join Dallas Trailer Repair Co.Fleet Trailer Maintenance Mechanic (Chassis & Body)Why you’ll like working hereHourly Rate: $25 – $35 (depending on experience and location)Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) Plan with Company MatchingPaid Time Off and Holiday PayTraining & Development ProgramMonthly Productivity/Bonus Incentive Program(s)Shift Differentials (2nd or 3rd Shift ONLY)Your impactPerform detailed inspections and diagnostics on trailers and related equipment to pinpoint issues and faulty components.Complete repair orders to manufacturer specifications and recognized industry standards.Deliver routine preventive maintenance to keep equipment performance-ready.Carry out trailer body and undercarriage work, including air bag replacement, cross-members, dolly legs, and tandem systems.Use checklists to plan, document, and verify each repair step.Keep tools and work areas clean, organized, and safe.Adhere to health and safety procedures and best practices.Work collaboratively with teammates while maintaining the ability to operate independently.Perform other duties as assigned.What you bringExperience: 1–2 years in mechanical roles or equivalent hands-on experience.ASE certifications preferred but not mandatory.Mechanical aptitude with basic math proficiency.English reading and writing skills for clear documentation and communication.Personal tool set and safety equipment (safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection).Pre-employment requirementMust pass pre-employment knowledge/skill test, background check (10-year), and drug/medical physical exam.Physical & environmental conditionsHeavy Work: Lift/carry up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs constantly.Frequent movements: walking, standing, climbing, stooping, crouching, balancing, kneeling, crawling.Hands-on demands: frequent grasping, typing, tool operation.Sensory: talking, hearing, & vision for precise inspection and safe equipment use.Shop-centered role with indoor/outdoor work.
