Pay: $26/hr

Schedule:

• Full-Time, 40 hours per week
• Must be willing to work at least 1 weekend day consistently (Saturday or Sunday)
• Schedule flexibility required based on participant needs, job site assignments, and program requirements

Full Life is seeking a Vocational Job Coach to support individuals in developing employment skills, finding job opportunities, and maintaining successful employment in community-based settings.

This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, dependable, and committed to helping individuals achieve their employment and independence goals.

What You'll Do

• Provide individual and small-group job coaching, workplace instruction, and skill development.
• Assist participants in identifying, obtaining, and maintaining appropriate employment or vocational opportunities.
• Support participants in developing professional grooming, workplace attire, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Implement Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and monitor progress toward established goals.
• Teach appropriate workplace behavior, positive work habits, and job retention skills.
• Assist participants with transportation needs while following established safety procedures.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with employers, community partners, and state agencies.
• Complete accurate and timely progress notes, incident reports, and other required documentation.
• Provide operational coverage, including substituting for the Recycling Supervisor when needed.
• Encourage community participation, social inclusion, and the development of natural support networks.

What We're Looking For

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

• At least 6 months of experience in human services, vocational services, disability services, education, caregiving, or a related field required.

Certifications:

• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification within the required timeframe.

Skills & Traits:

• Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to provide clear instruction and individualized support.
• Effective problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
• Ability to work independently while responding to varying participant needs.
• Comfortable providing instruction and coaching in one-on-one and small-group settings.

Technical Skills:

• Basic computer proficiency, including email, electronic documentation, and recordkeeping.

Other Requirements:

• Valid driver's license, current vehicle registration, and proof of insurance.
• Ability to travel throughout the Portland metropolitan area.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds.
