Job Description Job Description Position Title: Prep Cook (Part-Time) Position Summary: The Prep Cook supports daily kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, portioning toppings, and assisting with light cooking tasks. This role focuses on consistency, cleanliness, and efficiency in a structured but casualenvironment. Training is provided for fryer operation and other simple cooking procedures. This is a low-to-moderate intensity kitchen role focused on consistency and prep, not a fast-paced full cook position but solid experience is preferred. Job Requirements: · Prepare and portion fresh ingredients into small servings (1–4 oz cups) for customer use · Wash, cut, and prep vegetables such as bok choy, green onions, and jalapeños · Prepare simple items like hard-boiled eggs, ramen eggs, and basic toppings · Mix and portion house sauces (e.g., chili oil, Rocket Booster sauces) following standard recipes · Operate fryer to prepare items such as chicken, Spam, and egg rolls · Perform light cooking tasks such as heating or stir-frying select ingredients · Maintain clean and organized prep stations, including proper food storage and labeling · Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, especially when handling raw ingredients · Assist with restocking ingredients and maintaining overall kitchen readiness · Prior prep cook or main cook experience preferred; familiarity with Asian or Mexican flavors is a plus · Food Handler’s Certification · Reliable transportation Preferred Qualities: · Quick learner with strong work ethic · Reliable, punctual, and responsible · Friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused attitude · Positive teamwork spirit · Comfortable multitasking between front and back of house · Interest in food trends and global flavors Compensation & Benefits: · Hourly wage – $18 - $20 (depending on experience) · Annual performance-based bonus incentives · Employee shift meals · Opportunities for growth as UUDU expands Company Description About UUDU: UUDU is a modern, self-serve ramen concept inspired by a fast-growing food trend across Asia that’s now gaining momentum in the U.S. Instead of a traditional restaurant, we offer a fun, interactive experience where customers create their own customized ramen using instant noodles, fresh toppings, and easy-to-use induction cookers.
