Assistant Bakery ManagerSt. Coletta's of Illinois is currently seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to support the daily operations of the St. Coletta's of Illinois bakery. This position will assist with the preparation, production, packaging and sale of bakery items while supporting adults with developmental disabilities in developing vocational and workplace skills.Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (on-site) Location: Tinley Park, IL Salary: $47,000 annually Responsibilities:Assist with the preparation, baking, packaging, and labeling of bakery products following established recipes and food safety proceduresSupport and encourage adults with developmental disabilities in completing bakery-related tasks and work assignmentsReinforce vocational skills, appropriate workplace behaviors, teamwork, communication, and independence among participantsProvide guidance and redirection to workers as instructed by the Bakery SupervisorAssist with cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, utensils, workstations, and storage areas in accordance with health and safety standardsHelp monitor food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with public health standardsAssist with setting up workstations and preparing ingredients and supplies for daily production schedulesSupport bakery sales, customer service, and special event preparation as neededAssist participants with completing assigned duties while promoting a safe and supportive work environmentObserve and report participant progress, concerns, incidents, or behavioral changes to supervisory staffAssist with inventory organization, stocking supplies, and maintaining orderly storage areasParticipate in implementing individual goals and support plans as directedQualifications:Associate's degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent, preferredKnowledge of cooking and baking in large quantities, requiredExperience working with individuals with ID/DD, preferredMust possess and maintain a valid ServSafe certification, or obtain the certification within three (3) months of hireMust possess a valid driver's licenseBenefits: St. Coletta's of Illinois provides full-time employees with vacation, personal days, sick days and 10 paid Holidays.
