Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager the Tool Crib Attendant role is responsible for issuing tools, dies and area equipment; maintains records of issued tools, and monitors the tool crib inventory when necessary; also receives new tools and schedules preventative maintenance of the equipment.What a typical day looks like:Receives, stores and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, materials, and equipment in industrial establishment.Maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment, manually or using computer.Receives incoming tools and equipment.Lubricates tools and equipment, using hand tools, spray gun, or pressurized spray.Determines method of tools shipment.Unpacks and examines incoming tools and materials, rejects damaged items, records shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.Liable to notify supervision of received items.Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory.Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear and reports damage or wear to supervisors.Repairs, services, and lubricates tools and equipment.Delivers tools or equipment to workers.
