Job Summary HealthTrust Workforce Solution External is hiring a local contract Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13‑week assignment at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME. The assignment begins on July 6, 2026, with 36 hours per week on 12‑hour shifts (days and nights). Job Description & Requirements RT will float throughout the hospital, caring for patients from newborn to adult. Specialty emphasis is on adult critical care, with NICU and PICU experience preferred. Shift is 7 pm–7 am. Call requirements: none. RT must float to all areas of the hospital. The unit has approximately 159 beds with unspecified patient ratios. Equipment used includes Drager V500 ventilators, V60 BiPAP, Hamilton T‑1 transport ventilator, Airvo high‑flow oxygen units, Neopuff, and Ram cannula. EMR system is EPIC. Responsibilities Provide respiratory care to patients from newborn to adult throughout the hospital. Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and oxygen equipment listed. Document patient care and interventions using EPIC. Participate in resuscitation teams for high‑risk deliveries and neonatal emergencies. Assist with intubation and mechanical ventilation for adult and pediatric patients in the ER. Administer therapies and assess patient response. Follow ICU, ER, nursery, and med‑surg protocols. Qualifications Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with active certification. Minimum 3 years of experience in specialty and acute‑care settings. Active BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications. Experience in NICU, PICU, and adult ICU environments. Experience with high‑risk deliveries, resuscitation teams, and high‑flow oxygen units. Proficiency with Drager V500, Hamilton T‑1, Neopuff, and EPIC documentation system. Benefits Referral bonus up to $500. Weekly pay. Medical insurance. 401k matching.
