About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-17:00 Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: Required certifications Must-Have: Advanced skills in procedures performed on the unit: High volume of Neuro/Spine and Orthopedic Trauma. General Orthopedics, General Surgery including Robotics, Urology, GYN, Vascular, ENT, OMFS. Description: The unit is staffed with an RN-Circulator, CST, and FA in each operating room. There are six surgical attendants covering from 0630-1830. They assist with patient transport, pulling instruments, and turning rooms over. Supply chain technicians pull all cases from preference cards seven days a week. A board runner is available from 07:00-19:00 every day. Unit secretary services are provided Monday-Friday. Scheduling requirements include: Weekday shifts of 12 hours, with the ability to cover some call. A dedicated in-house team is available seven nights a week. A dedicated call team is scheduled from 17:00-07:00 Monday-Friday. Call requirements include one night a week for C2 call from 19:00-07:00. No C2 call will be scheduled on days off. Weekend shifts include two dedicated in-house teams during the day. Call requirements include one weekend every four weeks for C1 from 07:00-19:00. You may be called in for trauma backup if both teams are engaged in procedures. The next call shift will be C2 from 07:00-19:00 and C1 from 19:00-07:00. Be prepared for potential trauma backup calls during these shifts. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center, with plans to advance to Level I.
