Formulation Technician II

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Formulation Technician II for second-shift product finishing work in Milwaukee. The role involves packaging and processing chemical and non-chemical products, operating laboratory equipment, and mentoring junior technicians while adhering to manufacturing standards and safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Dispense and process liquid, solid, and hazardous products using appropriate laboratory equipment
- Apply caps and labels, assemble finished products, and create Certificates of Analysis
- Set up, operate, clean, and maintain process equipment following laboratory practices
- Provide guidance and coaching to Technician I employees and new hires
- Support batch processing, stage materials, and perform release activities for finished goods
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED plus 5+ years handling chemicals and laboratory equipment
- OR Associate degree in Science with minimum 1 year hazardous chemical experience
- Hazardous material handling and cleanroom certification required
- Basic math skills including fractions, percentages, decimals, and metric conversions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to safely handle hazardous substances
- Ability to lift 40 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs with assistance
