Role Description The Enterprise Solutions Architect is a full-time hybrid role based in the Greater Milwaukee area, with flexibility for part-time work from home. This strategic consulting role is responsible for designing, evaluating, and aligning enterprise technology solutions with clients' business processes, operational goals, technology ecosystems, and cyber-risk management strategies. The Enterprise Solutions Architect serves as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders, helping organizations navigate complex business and technology challenges while ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned with long-term business objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing current-state enterprise architectures, facilitating stakeholder discovery sessions, defining future-state architectures, and developing strategic roadmaps that support enterprise software modernization, digital transformation initiatives, and ERP implementations. The architect collaborates with executive leadership, business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors to capture requirements, evaluate solution alternatives, and establish architecture standards and governance practices. The role also involves creating detailed architecture documentation, guiding implementation teams through solution delivery, ensuring successful integration across systems and platforms, and advising clients on industry best practices related to enterprise architecture, technology modernization, cybersecurity, and operational resilience. The ideal candidate possesses a strong blend of business acumen, technical expertise, consulting experience, and leadership capabilities, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business recommendations. Key Responsibilities Enterprise Architecture & Strategy Assess current-state business and technology environments to identify opportunities for optimization, modernization, and risk reduction. Develop target-state enterprise architectures aligned with business objectives and strategic initiatives. Create multi-year technology roadmaps that support organizational growth, operational efficiency, and digital transformation. Establish architecture principles, standards, governance frameworks, and best practices. Facilitate architecture review boards and governance discussions with key stakeholders. Solution Design & Implementation Design end-to-end enterprise solutions that integrate business processes, applications, infrastructure, security controls, and data architectures. Lead architecture efforts for enterprise software deployments, ERP initiatives, cloud migrations, and system modernization projects. Evaluate technology platforms and vendor solutions to ensure alignment with business requirements. Develop architecture diagrams, technical standards, integration patterns, and implementation strategies. Support implementation teams through project execution and solution deployment activities. Business Process & Stakeholder Engagement Partner with business leaders to understand operational challenges and strategic goals. Conduct workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to gather requirements and define solution strategies. Map and optimize business processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and user experience. Translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions. Present architecture recommendations and strategic guidance to executive and technical audiences. Risk Management & Security Integration Incorporate cybersecurity, privacy, compliance, and risk management considerations into enterprise architecture decisions. Ensure solutions align with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and security best practices. Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to support secure-by-design and risk-informed architecture approaches. Identify enterprise technology risks and develop mitigation strategies. Support governance, risk, and compliance initiatives across client environments. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the project lifecycle. Mentor technical teams and provide architecture leadership across engagements. Contribute to business development efforts, proposal development, and client presentations. Support thought leadership initiatives and promote enterprise architecture best practices. Manage multiple client engagements while balancing competing priorities and deadlines. Qualifications Required Qualifications Strong understanding of business process design, process optimization, and organizational transformation initiatives. Proficiency in solution architecture, including designing end-to-end enterprise solutions and complex integration strategies. Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies such as TOGAF, Zachman, or similar approaches. Hands‑on knowledge of enterprise software platforms and large-scale technology implementations. Experience supporting Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) initiatives, including evaluation, selection, implementation, and integration. Experience creating architecture artifacts, solution diagrams, technical standards, and governance documentation. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels. Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a consulting environment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. Relevant Certifications TOGAF SAFe CISSP CISA CCSP PMP Azure Solutions Architect AWS Solutions Architect Experience working within consulting, advisory, or professional services organizations. Background in cybersecurity, governance, risk management, compliance, or secure system design. Experience supporting cloud transformation and modernization initiatives. Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT, ITIL, and related governance frameworks. Experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, or government. Additional Requirements Ability to work in a hybrid environment within the Greater Milwaukee area. Ability to travel periodically based on client and project needs.
