Math Center Director

Overview Mathnasium (Operated by JCR Learning, Inc.) runs math-only learning centers serving the greater Phoenix area, including Mathnasium of Desert Ridge and Mathnasium of Fountain Hills. The centers focus on helping students catch up, keep up, or get ahead in math through personalized, one-on-one instruction. Instruction emphasizes conceptual understanding, building confidence and strong problem-solving skills. The environment is supportive, structured, and designed to make math engaging and accessible for learners at various levels. Role Description The Math Center Director is a full-time, on-site role based in Olathe, KS. This role oversees daily center operations, including scheduling sessions, managing staff, and ensuring a positive and productive learning environment. The Director leads and coaches instructors, monitors student progress, and collaborates with families to discuss learning goals and outcomes. Responsibilities include implementing Mathnasium teaching methodologies, maintaining high standards of instruction, and handling administrative tasks such as enrollment, billing, and reporting. The Director also promotes the center through local outreach, builds relationships with schools and community organizations, and supports ongoing growth and retention of students. Qualifications Strong mathematics knowledge and ability to explain concepts clearly across elementary, middle, and high school levels. Experience in education, tutoring, or learning center management, with a focus on student success and engagement. Leadership and team management skills, including hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching staff. Customer service and communication skills for interacting with students, families, schools, and community partners. Organizational and administrative abilities to manage center operations, data tracking, and reporting. Comfort with learning center software, scheduling tools, and basic computer applications. Bachelor’s degree in education, mathematics, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
