Repair Table Operator

Division: General Labor

Department: Operations

Reports To: Shift Supervisor

Summary: Repairs pallets using quality specifications by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Operates repair equipment per standard operating procedures.
• Meets production quotas within a reasonable training/retraining time period.
• Ensures housekeeping of equipment and surrounding area is acceptable per standard operating procedure.
• Follows safety standard operating procedures and maintain proper use of all personal protective equipment at all time of operation.
• Generates accurate production reporting for supervisor.
• Maintains possession and good condition of assigned tools and nails.
• Alerts supervisor of potential maintenance and/or safety concerns.
• Receives and follows designated job processes and safety trainings.
• Performs assigned preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Equipment: Hammer, Nail gun, Sawzall, Screw gun

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to see color.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather), outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold (non-weather), and extreme heat (non-weather). The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
