Schedule / Job Type

Full-Time | Contract (13 Weeks) | Onsite | Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care for cardiac and telemetry patients utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and available resources.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage the clinical situation.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of employment or valid compact license.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Minimum 1–2 years of overall nursing experience.
• Minimum 6 months of telemetry-specific nursing experience.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience caring for cardiac and telemetry patient populations.
