Title: Installation Technician (1099 Contractor)

ROLE SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The Installation Technician supports statewide deployment projects throughout Florida, with work primarily taking place in K-12 school environments. This role is responsible for the removal and installation of display panels, equipment handling, and the use of hand and power tools to complete project objectives and work effectively as part of an installation team. The project is scheduled in Nassau County beginning mid-to-late November 2026 for a 4-week duration working after hours on weekends. 

This is a 1099 contractor role, on call as needed . All travel expenses will be paid for, aside from, per diem.

Pay: $275.00 per day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must be available to travel throughout the state. 
• Work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends, based on project needs.
• Installing approximately 200 panels over a 4‑week period.
• Safely lift, move, and install equipment weighing up to 125-150 lbs.
• Utilize hand and power tools to complete installations and securely mounting TVs/panels to walls.
• Following instructions accurately while working independently and in a team setting. 
• Driving a cargo van or box truck.
• Performing cable management.
• Climbing ladders comfortably.
• Drilling into concrete walls when required.
• Using Excel for basic documentation or tracking.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND ABILITIES

• Drive and operate company cargo vans or box trucks between project locations.
• Install, route, and manage cabling to support equipment installations.
• Climb ladders and work at varying heights to complete installation activities.
• Use drills and other hand and power tools to mount equipment and install hardware as needed.
• Complete basic project documentation, inventory tracking, and reporting using Microsoft Excel.
• Other duties as assigned or requested.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

• Travel 100% during the duration of the project throughout the state of Florida.
• Overnight travel stays for multiple weeks as required by the project schedule.
• Accurately submit travel expenses weekly.
• Must be able to safely operate cargo vans and drive box trucks ranging from 16 ft to 26 ft in length.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• A valid and unrestricted driver's license, at the time of employment, is required.
• No major traffic violations within the past 10 years (e.g., DUI, reckless driving, suspended license).
• Adhere to school district safety, security, and badge requirements.
• This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain necessary access and security clearances, including but not limited to State Driver’s Licenses, TSA/UEP clearances, Federal security, and School level clearances, relevant to your project.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds routinely, occasionally up to 150 pounds.
• Requires long periods of driving, standing, walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities.
• Requires manual dexterity and ability to manipulate small objects as well as climb ladders.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work is typically performed in a variety of school environments including exposure to heat, cold, and/or air particles such as dust.
