Avionics & Electrical Engineering Technician – Bridger Aerospace Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States Job Description Bridger Aerospace is an aerial firefighting company based in Belgrade, Montana, located at the Bozeman Yellowstone Airport (KBZN). Established in 2014, the company has expanded from operating a single plane to leading in Air Attack and the largest Super Scooper fleet in the U.S. Bridger specializes in Air Attack, Fire Suppression, and Aerial Fire‑Mapping technologies, providing modern, effective solutions to fight wildfires. Flight Test & Mechanic Solutions, Inc., dba FMS Aerospace, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bridger that specializes in aircraft structural engineering, flight testing, and manufacturing. The position is a full‑time, mid‑to senior‑level Avionics and Electrical Engineering Technician at FMS in Huntsville, Alabama. The role involves designing, troubleshooting, and enhancing aircraft modifications for commercial and military organizations. Job Responsibilities Work with Electrical and Design Engineers and PMs to troubleshoot, design, and implement electrical systems for military and commercial customers. Provide off‑site and on‑site assistance and installation of electrical systems. Mentor junior electrical engineers within the company. Occasionally travel to hangars, bases, and customer sites to facilitate system integration and assist Project Managers at on‑site locations. Required Qualifications Minimum of 7 years’ experience in avionics and electrical wiring systems. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to manage time across multiple programs. Strong interpersonal skills to work with remote and onsite teams. Flexibility to travel CONUS & OCONUS (no more than 20% of the time). Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Proficiency in English (written and spoken). U.S. citizenship. Currently possess or be able to receive Department of Defense Secret clearance. Desired Skills/Experience Active DoD security clearance at Secret level or higher. Interest in aviation airframe modifications. IPC certification preferred. A&P certification or relevant certifications a plus. DoD or military background a plus.
