About the Position

Job Summary

Under limited supervision, the RN will provide direct patient care and manage total nursing care for Med-Surg patients. Responsible for planning, directing, and evaluating patient care while ensuring continuity across shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care and administer medications/IV therapy
• Develop and implement patient care plans
• Monitor patient condition and update care plans accordingly
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare team
• Ensure infection control and safety standards
• Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently

Requirements

• Active Iowa RN License (required)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience
• BLS (AHA) – Required
• ACLS – Preferred
• Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification within 6 months
