Three (3) years of prior experience in a related field. Valid Texas Driver’s License with acceptable driving record. Forklift certification required; may be obtained on the job. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse receiving area. Maintain warehouse receiving system software. Verify accuracy of shipments by counting, weighing, describing, or identifying code numbers with invoice or packing slip and purchase orders; record any discrepancies or damage. Open crates and other containers using hand tools to unpack items and inspect for damage and defects. Sort and store items according to established procedures (e.g., fixed assets, textbooks, etc.). Read and fill requisitions for book items; verify accuracy of orders pulled. Move merchandise to various locations manually or by operating mechanical equipment such as a forklift, pallet jack, or handcart. Load and unload delivery truck by hand or using a hand truck as needed. Drive truck to schools/departments to deliver materials and/or books; obtain authorized signature for supplies delivered. Requisition additional supplies as needed to ensure all items are available. Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to production workers. Assist in the installation and setup of new campuses and classroom additions. Maintain forklift certification. Drive District vehicle to and from work site; obey all traffic laws. Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties. Maintain confidentiality. Maintain a high level of ethical behavior as expected of all District employees. Maintain professional growth by attending in-service meetings as requested/required. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Director.
