Vice President of Commercial Operations (Wray)
Full-time
Pro-Ag Organic Farms
Vice President of Commercial Operations Needed to Lead Growth at Pro-Ag
Are you a hands-on operator ready to take full ownership of a post-harvest supply chain and make high-stakes calls without waiting for permission? Do you want to step into your first VP seat at a working farm where leaders are in the dirt with the crew rather than hiding in a corner office?
What You’ll Own
- Storage & Mill: Own shrink, moisture, quality, uptime, and throughput—making the mill a true margin lever.
- Freight & Future Plant: Run trucks, drivers, and broker networks like a standalone business, and help lead the buildout of our future processing facility.
- Customer Relationships: Partner directly with the CEO on relationship management, negotiate contracts, and close deals with buyers.
Year-One Success Targets
- Margin Recovery: Keep measurable dollars per bushel through reduced shrink and smarter execution.
- Freight as a Profit Center: Drive predictable, on-budget asset management.
- Operational Discipline: Maintain strict control over mill uptime, grain quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
Who You Are
- You have hands-on experience running a physical operation (plant, mill, yard, fleet, or terminal) and understand how revenue, cost, and margin move.
- You are fiercely accountable: when a bin shows a temperature spike at 9 p.m., you start the diagnosis instead of calling a meeting.
- You are fully prepared to relocate to northeastern Colorado for an on-site, 5+ day-a-week leadership role.
What We Don’t Care About
- Whether you’ve been a VP before. Plant managers, ops directors, and strong #2s ready to step up are welcome.
- Whether you grew up on a farm. We care that you can lead the operation.
- Whether your last job had agriculture in the title (food manufacturing, oil & gas, aggregates, construction, and distribution backgrounds fit well).
- Having a four-year degree.
Why This Job
- An immediate, high-impact leadership role from day one.
- A build-from-scratch future processing expansion opportunity.
- Life in northeastern Colorado: open sky, low cost of living, and room to build a life.
Compensation & Perks
- Competitive senior leadership base salary with performance bonuses tied directly to your year-one wins.
- Comprehensive benefits and full relocation support.
About the Vibe We’re a farm. We work when the work is there—delivering loads 7 days a week in season. If VP to you means a corner office and an assistant, this isn’t it. If it means owning the outcome end-to-end from where the work happens, read this twice and apply.
How to Apply Send a resume and a brief note covering: (1) a physical operation you’ve run, (2) the hardest call you had to make on the ground, and (3) what you’re ready to do next. Click the link to submit your application to Pro-Ag.
