Surgery - Vascular Physician

NorthBay Health is seeking a Vascular Surgeon to join our growing surgical and cardiovascular team serving the Solano and Napa County regions. As a key member of NorthBay Health's Heart & Vascular program, you will play an integral role in diagnosing and treating complex vascular disease, including peripheral arterial disease, aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease, critical limb ischemia, and venous disorders. You will work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering comprehensive vascular care through both open surgical and advanced endovascular techniques.

Position Highlights

• Schedule:
  • Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Inpatient/Outpatient Responsibilities:
  • A combination of inpatient, outpatient, and operative responsibilities
  • Rounding on surgical inpatients and post-operative follow-ups
  • Vascular lab interpretation and interventional procedures as appropriate
• Daily Patient Census:
  • Average of 25 patients in clinic/day
  • Surgical volume: elective and emergent vascular cases including:
    • Aneurysm repair (open and EVAR)
    • Carotid endarterectomy
    • Peripheral revascularization
    • Endovenous ablation
    • Access procedures for dialysis patients
• Equipment/Resources:
  • State-of-the-art hybrid operating room
  • Access to CT angiography, MR angiography, duplex ultrasonography
  • Collaboration with advanced practice providers and surgical support teams
• Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform open and endovascular surgeries to treat arterial and venous conditions
  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, diagnostic interpretations, and surgical planning
  • Collaborate with referring physicians and other departments for continuity of care
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, procedures, and post-op expectations
  • Participate in hospital quality improvement initiatives, case reviews, and committees

Qualifications
Education & Training

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency
• Completion of a Vascular Surgery fellowship or Integrated Vascular Surgery residency program

Certification & Licensure

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Vascular Surgery
• California medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure

Experience & Skills

• Proficiency in both open vascular surgery and endovascular interventions
• Experience interpreting vascular studies and managing a wide range of vascular pathology
• Strong clinical judgment and surgical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and patient-relations abilities
• Commitment to multidisciplinary, team-based care
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced healthcare environment

• Total Compensation Potential: Up to $924,024 annually
• Additional incentives include:
