Managing Consultant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Managing Consultant / Office Leader to launch and lead Proclinical's new Raleigh office. This is a unique opportunity to join at the early stages of a new office and play a key role in building the team, establishing the office culture, and driving its growth and success. This is a player-coach leadership role, combining responsibility for team leadership, recruitment delivery, business development, and office growth with individual contribution and revenue generation. The successful candidate will initially play a hands-on role in recruitment and business development while also having the opportunity to build, hire, and develop a high-performing recruitment team. Responsibilities Individual Contribution: Maintain an individual recruitment and commercial desk, managing searches, building client relationships, developing new business opportunities, and contributing directly to revenue generation Lead Recruitment Delivery: Oversee day-to-day recruitment activity, ensuring roles are appropriately prioritized, qualified, and progressed through the recruitment process Team Leadership & Development: Manage, coach, and develop recruiters and consultants to improve performance, productivity, and career progression Performance Management: Set clear expectations and monitor individual and team performance against KPIs, activity levels, revenue targets, and delivery goals Collaborate with internal teams: Work with delivery and sales teams to ensure that client expectations are met and deliverables are aligned with client goals Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes, systems, tools, and ways of working as the Raleigh office develops Qualifications 4+ years of experience within recruitment or staffing, with experience in a Life Sciences environment Bachelor's degree preferred Previous experience managing, mentoring, or leading a recruitment team Proven track record of delivering against recruitment and/or revenue targets Experience managing client relationships and delivering recruitment solutions Strong understanding of recruitment processes, sourcing strategies, candidate engagement, and delivery best practices Strong coaching and people-management skills, with the ability to motivate, develop, and hold team members accountable Commercially minded with a willingness and ability to contribute individually to business growth Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to balance individual production with leadership responsibilities If you are having difficulty in applying or if you have any questions, please contact Hannah Cihlar at View email address on click.appcast.io.
