What You’ll Do as a Retail Department Manager As a hands‑on retail leader , you’ll: Oversee daily store operations while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Lead and supervise your own team —coaching, training, and motivating staff to meet sales and production goals. Drive marketing and social media efforts , building awareness and engagement for the store’s promotions, events, and community involvement. Ensure exceptional customer service , positive donor interactions, and smooth volunteer experiences. Support the Store Manager with scheduling, merchandising, inventory, and performance management. What We’re Looking For 1+ year retail sales or customer service experience (required). 2 years of management or leadership experience preferred . Leadership/management experience strongly preferred—ability to coach and develop team members. Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. Comfortable using social media platforms to promote store events, sales, and community engagement . High school diploma or GED (required). Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing. Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
