Exercise Physiologist

This position provides assessment, treatment, and education to cardiac patients and their families during rehabilitation and writes exercise prescriptions to progress patients through rehabilitation. Pay & Benefits Shift Differentials: $2.00/hr (Standard), $2.50/hr (Weekend), $3.50/hr (Evening), $4.00/hr (Night) – note: No holidays or weekends Additional Pay: Annual increases, paid time off Benefits: medical, vision, dental, 401(k) with employer match Education Benefits: FHP Tuition Assistance, Student Loan Forgiveness Other Benefits: onsite gym, wellness programs, discount programs, Learning Center childcare services Work Schedule: Full‑time, 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday Responsibilities Evaluate patients' functional abilities and limitations to determine appropriate interventions; develop a plan of care and exercise goals. Implement individualized exercise plans that consider patients' physical and age‑specific needs, ensuring they are supported by evidence or current literature. Reevaluate treatment plans as needed to ensure safety and maximum patient benefit. Educate patients, families, and other care providers to promote participation and attainment of exercise program goals; provide individualized home programs with clear instructions. Instruct patients and families in pathology, discharge guidelines, risk‑factor modification, and exercise, including individual and class formats. Document patient treatment according to professional and regulatory standards. Participate in training of other staff and students. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in exercise/physiology or related field. Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers; strong interpersonal communication and human relations skills. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required. BLS certification required. Preferred Qualifications Additional related education and/or experience in cardiac rehabilitation.
