Senior Manager, Manufacturing Operations StrategyThis is a hybrid role that can either be based at our office in Cambridge, MA, or at our office in Research Triangle Park, NCAbout This Role:As the Senior Manager, Manufacturing Operations Strategy, you will join the dynamic Global Engineering and Technical Services Organization, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of Biogen. In this strategic position, you will collaborate in the development of business cases that drive key investment decisions, focusing on new modalities and the long-term objectives they present.You will be at the forefront of data analysis, employing advanced statistical modeling to deliver valuable insights and visualize data to inform operational strategies. Your financial acumen will enable you to conduct robust financial analyses, emphasizing strategic value and operational expenditure impact. You will also be responsible for ensuring efficient manufacturing capacity utilization and developing end-to-end operational network designs. This role is crucial in aligning with Biogen's commitment to innovation and excellence, and you will be integral in ensuring robust product supply through effective scenario planning.What You'll Do:Develop critical long-range manufacturing strategies and plans, taking into account operational factors and factory capacity limits.Consolidate asset long-range demand plans and develop capacity utilization scenarios.Create decision trees related to capacity utilization based on investment drivers.Gather, analyze, and interpret multifaceted data sets, including production data and cost structures.Employ advanced statistical models to evaluate and optimize the manufacturing network.Utilize data visualization tools to present findings and provide actionable insights to executive management.Develop decision support analytics for network design and supply chain configurations for new products.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational strategies with broader organizational goals.Communicate strategic objectives to senior leadership and operational teams, ensuring alignment and achievement.Lead evaluations across modalities to establish core business competencies and provide competitive advantages.Support business case development for technology and infrastructure investments.Identify continuous improvement initiatives that will provide long term strategic benefits.Who You Are:You are an analytical thinker with a strategic mindset, keen on leading cross-functional initiatives in a biotechnology environment. A master's degree and commensurate experience may also be considered7+ years of experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or a similarly highly regulated industryExperience in manufacturing operations and strategic planning with engagement in Technology, Development, or EngineeringExperience with data visualization tools and multi-variable simulationProficiency in financial analysis and ROI assessmentsExcellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex problemsDemonstrated ability to solve ambiguous business problemsProven ability to facilitate decision-making among groups with diverse perspectivesHigh learning agility and adeptness in information synthesisStrong collaborative nature and a proactive approach to business impactAptitude for continuous improvement and innovationAdditional Information:The base compensation range for this role is: $127,000.00-$170,000.00. Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
