Our patented Java-based platform processes billions of transactions per month in tens of milliseconds using a multi-tiered, message-oriented approach for high performance and availability.• Would you like to develop industry-leading solutions for fighting fraud?• Are you motivated by speeding business solutions to market?• Do you want to innovate using modern technologies to solve challenging business problems?RoleBe part of the Product Operations and Enablement team supporting operations across all 12 decision products in multiple non-production environments.• Are you interested in helping to build solutions that help recognize and prevent payment fraud?• Do you consider yourself capable of bridging the gap between technology and business?ResponsibilitiesProvide detailed technical analysis of product or application hardware and software to ensure business and functional requirements can be met.Provide subject matter expertise for assigned projects.Perform analysis of system requirements and elaborate them into user stories and acceptance criteria in an Agile methodology format.Facilitate scoping sessions and lead review sessions of technical requirements and user stories.Support software development activities, including designing, building, testing, and maintaining applications using established engineering practices.Apply foundational software design and architecture principles to support scalable, maintainable, secure, and performant solutions.Support unit, functional, and integration testing to validate application components, expected behaviors, and system quality.Assist in identifying and resolving technical issues, performance concerns, and operational readiness gaps using appropriate tools and guidance.Follow secure coding practices, code review standards, and operational readiness practices that support observability, reliability, and maintainability.Identify dependencies between teams through collaboration.Demonstrate curiosity for systems and technical knowledge by continuously analyzing and improving approaches to platform support and delivery.All About YouThe ideal candidate would have the following primary skills and experience:Some experience with DevOps processes and hands-on experience with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, or similar.Foundational understanding of software development, software design, and software architecture concepts.Foundational experience or coursework in unit testing, functional testing, integration testing, secure coding practices, code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance awareness.Ability to organize, manage, and apply data structures effectively to support application performance and efficient data access.High-energy, detail-oriented, and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in a collaborative Agile environment.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with strong relationship-building, collaboration, and organizational skills.Prior experience gathering technical requirements for Java backend systems and knowledge of web UIs is an added advantage.Corporate Security ResponsibilityAll activities involving access to Mastercard assets, information, and networks comes with an inherent risk to the organization and, therefore, it is expected that every person working for, or on behalf of, Mastercard is responsible for information security and must:Abide by Mastercard's security policies and practices;Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed;Report any suspected information security violation or breach, andComplete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard's guidelines.In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
